Summer Naturalist Instructor: University of Washington Botanic Gardens (Starts end of June 2023!)
My next step! I will be a Summer Naturalist Instructor at the UW Arboretum this summer. I am excited to continue doing environmental education work.

Environmental Justice Intern: Lake City Collective (September 2020 - Present)
● Working as an Environmental Justice Intern to help advance community oriented projects, such as the Little Brook Environmental Empowerment Project and a community-led Little Brook Park redesign process
● Supported writing grant applications, three of which have received funding
● Practiced valuable public speaking, presentation, and PowerPoint creation skills at virtual grant application
presentations and community meetings

Food Access Associate AmeriCorps Vista: United Way of King County & YMCA (August 2020-2021)

Served families at King County Housing Authority and Imagine Housing sites through the YMCA to increase food access by connecting families with federal nutrition programs and local food resources

Coordinated with local community partners, including school districts and nonprofits, to improve food security at the community level by increase participation in available pandemic aid resources, such as P-EBT

Collaborated with Food Access Team Members to gather data regarding meal quality and access to resources through Microsoft surveys

Urban Gardening Intern: Green Plate Special (October 2020 - September 2021)
● Volunteered 8 hours a week during the pandemic to support a seed-to-table environmental education organization
● Supported after school and summer camp activities with 6-14 year olds, including leading educational activities about
pollinators, planting and harvesting produce, soil health, chicken care, and cooking
● Researched, created, and implemented the redesign of an eroding slope that is now a terraced hill with native plants

HungerCorps Member: Seattle Parks & Recreation (Summer 2020)
Handed out breakfasts and lunches at Little Brook Park and North Acres Park.
